The Warne farm big red barn is seen here at it’s original location. All three of John Thomas Henry Warne’s sons were born in their home on the farm. In this picture, you can see all three boys sitting in the field on the bottom left. Both the Warne family home and the big red barn can today be found in California at the Westminster Historical Society.With the young John at the wheel, Henry at the very back, and young Tom in the middle, all three of John Thomas Henry’s sons learned farming early in their lives.Wish we knew more of the story on this pic! But it would explain John and Henry’s later fascination and humble collections of classic cars. Henry was never such a huge fan of having his photograph taken — even later in life he either avoided looking at a camera or brazenly connected with it so everyone could see the flash of mischief in his eyes. Hmmm… I don’t know that it has ever been sold publicly. My great Aunt Alfreda was the one to print the book out and get a copy to all three of the Warne brothers in the US during the early 1980’s. We do need to coordinate to copy it into digital form and have it become available to more people!
