On the 28th of June we rode on Icelandic horses. The horse that I rode was dark brown with a light caramel mane.
It was a 90 minute ride (very beautiful), which was very fun, but the only problem was that we forgot our warm jackets at the ranch. So we had to ride the horses for an hour and 30 minutes freezing and in the rain. (It was no fun being super cold). My horse behaved and stayed in the line.
On the other hand, my Dad’s horse (named “Flavor”) went out of the line or stopped the rest of the line to snack on the plants. All the horses had really hard Icelandic names, so we gave our horses nicknames. For example, my Dad nicknamed his horse “snacker.”
Afterwards, we went back to the ranch, put on our warm coats, had hot cocoa, and warmed up on chairs inside. Later we took a bus back to the hotel, complained about being sore (from the saddles), and, finally, went to sleep.
