Iconic hot springs just a short bus ride away? Yes, please!!
We couldn’t wait to join in the Iceland public bathing ritual that is the Blue Lagoon.
The Reykjavik Excursions bus picked us up from our hotel door and just one bus change later, we checked in for our reserved entrance to Blue Lagoon. (Note: we saw several people get turned away because they didn’t have reservations. Make a reservation.)
Tourist trap? For sure!
Did it feel great to soak in warm water that smells mildly of sulfur? Absolutely!!
We soaked,
face masked,
and floated.
We stayed in until our feel looked like white grapes turned to raisins.
And we’d do it all over again if we got the chance to come back to Iceland– even for a very short layover!
